THE CARDASSIAN UNION

The Cardassian Union has spent the last eight years recovering from the devastation caused by the Dominion in the final days of the War. Up until recently, relations between the Federation and the Cardassian Union were amicable, but not exactly strong. However, January of 2383 bought change to that, when the Cardassians severed diplomatic ties to the Federation, and expelled non-Cardassian Nationals from their territory. Cardassia's reasons remain unclear, and little contact has been exchanged since Federation Citizens were extracted from Cardassian Space.
